My God’s Love
Written by Jaymee Wagner ~

You were tried, You were whipped;
At any time You could have said,
“That’s it! They’re not worth it!”
Yet for me Your blood was shed.
You were spit upon and mocked;
The LORD of heaven, in my rightful place.
You were mistreated, but never balked;
They killed You, though of sin they found no trace.
There You hung, bearing my sin;
Knowing I would later hate You,
Knowing I was the one who turned You in,
You still did all You could do.
On Easter Morning, look at the grave;
He’s gone, He’s alive, He has risen!
He lives, you and me to save;
My God’s not dead, He’s alive again!
